I started AshDecor shortly after turning 30, when I moved into my first “blank canvas” apartment. I quickly realized how overwhelming—and expensive—it can be to furnish a space from scratch. I wanted that high-end, modern minimalist look but had to figure out how to achieve it on a real-world budget.

What started as a personal project of upcycling furniture, hunting for the perfect ash-wood dupes, and sharing my room transformations on Pinterest quickly grew into this blog. For me, decorating is not about having a flawless, magazine-perfect house. It is about creating a calming, intentional space that feels like a true sanctuary at the end of a busy day.
